St. Dalmas to St. Sauver sur Tinee

Burning elevation down to 495m - what a waste 😜. The area is beautiful at the edge of the Mercantour National park. It rained last night, but no clouds now. Tonight I stay at a gite de France for just 10€ the night. The local shop has excellent cheese and sausage.
Maybe I can also find cold beer.

Habe alle Höhenmeter bis runter auf 496 verbrannt-welche Verschwendung. Traumhaft schön hier am Rand des Merkantour Nationalpark. Über Nacht hat es geregnet- keine Wolke jetzt. Die Nacht bin ich in einer gite de france für 10€ die Nacht. Der Laden hier hat exzellente Wurst und Käse. Vielleicht finde ich auch noch ein Bier😜.

Sant Dalmas

After a good night in a small wooden shelter it went up directly to an elevation of 2000m and then more or less all the way down to 1300m. Tonight I am staying in a "gite de etappe" a kind of youth hostel. The others may not get much sleep 😜
Nach einer guten Nacht in einer Holzhütte ging es direkt hoch auf 2000m um dann mehr oder weniger den ganzen Weg runter auf 1300m. Heute Nacht bleibe ich in einer gite de Etappe so eine Art Jugendherberge. Die anderen werden möglicherweise wenig schlafen 😜

Again very hot, but at higher altitudes it got better. Hikers I met told me, that the source I was looking for got enough water. Without this info I would have turned around.
then finally- ice cold water- lot-better then Beer

Wiener ein heißer Tag aber in der Höhe ging es etwas besser. Hiker aus der Gegenrichtung haben Wasser an der Quelle am Ziel bestätigt. Sonst wäre ich umgekehrt - dann massen von eiskaltem Quellwasser- ein Genuss.

Aspremont

I reached Aspront - a nice small mountain village. With all planning ahead, I missed the fact that shops are closed on Monday in Nice. So I have to go back by bus tomorrow and by gas and an adapter. That means, I can start here around noon and it woo be hot again.

The start
